It was agreed that while the pieces were there, Wolfman was probably failed by those in the higher up positions. The gore factor in such a studio film however, was much appreciated. Although, the film probably would’ve fared much better had Mark Romanek stayed aboard rather than dropped out 4 weeks before shooting. I suppose if you’re Universal, you just pat Joe Johnston on the back & say “It’s not your fault dude. Thanks for trying.”
There was definitely something missing to the film overall, except for some watery bordering throughout that made some question if this was all a dream within a dream within a dream…
So now, with Takers pushed back (sorry kids), a trip to Shutter Island with Marty Scorsese, Leo DiCaprio, & Mark Ruffalo could be on the immediate horizon. Keep your ears to the ground folks!
